The Czech Republic National Strategy of Open Access to Scientific Information and Data

The Czech Republic National Strategy of Open Access to Scientific Information for 2017-2020 was approved by the Government on June 14, 2017. Decree of the Government (in Czech only, no. 444) is available here.

The strategy includes open access to publications and data (Data Management Plans) requirements for publicly funded research projects. Interoperable and OpenAIRE compatible open access e-Infrastructure will be built. And awareness raising and educational activities will be conducted.

According to this decree, the action plan to implement the strategy will be developed by the end of 2017.

OpenAIRE NOAD in Czech Republic Daniela Tkačíková has played one of the key roles in the National Strategy development. She is in touch with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Science, Research and Innovation and will keep us up to date on the action plan development.
