OpenAIRE Provide: a one-stop-shop for content providers #OAWeek

International Open Access Week is a great opportunity to highlight the services that promote Open Science implementation. One of the OpenAIRE services that contributes to this is OpenAIRE Provide, a service for content providers for sharing, finding and enriching their content.

The OpenAIRE Provide service - in production since October 2018 - aims to meet user needs and improve the service. Some of the most recent updates include:
- A new dashboard section "My Datasource at a glance" presenting a summary of the main figures and data source information,
- New support information in the service homepage on how to use the Provide functionalities and link to training materials, and
- Some improvements in the user interface as for example within the Collection monitor functionality.

The OpenAIRE Content Provider Dashboard is a one-stop-shop web service where data providers (repository, data archive, journal, aggregator, CRIS system) interact with OpenAIRE. It provides the front-end access to many of OpenAIRE's backend services:

Register - validate data source against OpenAIRE guidelines (via the OpenAIRE Validator); register in OpenAIRE; provide links to content for text and data mining; view history of validations, status of harvesting;
Enrich - subscribe and view/receive notifications to enrich the metadata or the content of the data source (via the OpenAIRE Broker);
Assess - subscribe to the OpenAIRE Usage Statistics service; view aggregated, cleaned usage stats for repository access (COUNTER rules, latest robots.txt).

Functionalities

Validate. Use the OpenAIRE Validator service and see how you can apply the OpenAIRE Guidelines to expose your content using global standards.
Register. Register your data source in OpenAIRE and be part of a global interlinked network.
Enrich. The OpenAIRE Broker service offers a wealth of information on scholarly communication data. Find out what interests you and subscribe to enrich your records.
Measure. Participate in the Open Metrics service by sharing your usage data. Get the benefit of an aggregated environment to broaden the mechanisms for impact assessment.
