The collaboration between OpenAIRE and the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) is focused on bridging the communities of Open Access, Open Science, and Citizen Science. This partnership aims to enhance the visibility and impact of citizen science research outputs by integrating them into the OpenAIRE ecosystem through a dedicated CONNECT Gateway. The collaboration allows both parties to leverage each other's strengths—OpenAIRE's infrastructure for research output management and ECSA's expertise in citizen science—to promote the democratization of science and encourage greater public participation in research. Together, they aim to foster a more inclusive and accessible scientific landscape, where citizen contributions are recognized and effectively utilized in scientific endeavors.
