The following data are retrieved from your Home Organisation and stored to our user database :

  • Display Name , from which your username within the OpenAire2020 platform is generated
  • Email, serving as a contact point for the monthly newsletter and other important notifications on the OpenAire portal ( expected downtimes, changes in services,etc)  
  • eduPersonTargetedID , used as a unique identifier to your account
  • Common Name, Given Name and Surname which are optionally requsted  and used to enrich your user profile if your Home Organization chooses to relase them.
Purpose of the processing of personal data The OpenAire Platform uses the provided user data for authentication and offering  controlled access to the provided online services.
Third parties to whom personal data is disclosed

 

Personal Data are not disclosed to Third Party Entities and are only aggregated and used within the context of the Openaire2020 Project.Any personal data published by the user voluntarily on the web application ( name, surname)  will be visible to other users of the web application. Private data (email, passwords) will be only accessible by the technical team responsible for the OpenAire portal management.

How to access, rectify and delete the personal data

 

Contact  User Support at the Helpdesk and submit ta request for modifying or removing your account. Data can be edited by each users by accessing their user profile page.

Data retention

 

Personal data  are deleted immediately upon submitting  an account removal request to the Helpdesk.

Data Protection Code of Conduct

 

Your personal data will be protected according to the Code of Conduct for Service Providers, a common standard for the research and higher education sector to protect your privacy.
